We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to join the team of a company that supplies specialist plant equipment to the construction sector.Our client has a great reputation in the industry and is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and flexible all-rounder to work as part of a busy depot based hire desk team within a supportive company.   • First point of contact for customer enquiries
  • Setting up new customer accounts and credit checking
  • Responsible for receiving orders and collections of equipment.
  • Calculating and supply of quotes
  • Negotiating with customers on hire rates and non-standard product prices
  • Planning transport for deliveries and collections
  • Dealing with off hires and collection notes
  • To proactively work jointly with all departments
  • Assisting with yard procedures
  • Dealing with damages, calculating costs, liaising with customers regarding damages and ensuring payment is received
  • Full training on product range will be given

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience working within the construction/ material supplies or hire industry
  • Strong customer service skills and experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ideally you need to have your own transport for travel to the depot location
