Welder

Ward are a leading Waste Management Specialist located in the East Midlands. We offer Metal and Waste recycling services to homes and businesses throughout the UK.

The Role:

We are looking for time servedWelderto join our Transport team, based at Crompton Road, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 4BG.

The roleisfull time Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts when required.

Task specific training will be given but your role is predominantly to carry out welding and maintenance work on HVG body work, trailersandmaintenance duties of lights and lenses. You will use a variety of hand-tools to carry of this maintenance work such as drills, impact guns, grinders and screwdrivers. You will use the FLT and scissor lift and experience on these machines is advantageous, however training can be given.

It's essential that you have experience of light maintenance work previously.

You will need to have:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Conscientious, organised and driven with good communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/processing environment
