Are you passionate about outdoor learning and play? We are looking for an enthusiastic Outdoor Nursery Practitioner to join our team and deliver high-quality outdoor provision for children in our nursery setting. This exciting role will allow you to work primarily outdoors, making the most of our outdoor spaces to inspire and nurture children's development through nature-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver outdoor learning activities, using the natural environment to enhance children's development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Create an engaging and safe outdoor learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and physical development.
  • Support children in developing a love of the outdoors, fostering curiosity, and promoting problem-solving skills.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring that individual needs are met through outdoor activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement outdoor learning opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff while ensuring the safeguarding and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and clean outdoor environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A genuine passion for outdoor learning and using natural resources for educational purposes.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how it can be applied to outdoor settings.
  • Confident in utilizing outdoor space to deliver a stimulating and engaging learning experience.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a love for working with young children.
