Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

Location: Residential Care Home, IlkleySpecialism: Elderly CareShifts: 8pm to 8am

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistants to join our team in our residential care home in the picturesque town of Ilkley. Our home specializes in providing exceptional care for the elderly, fostering a warm, supportive, and professional environment.

Roles Available:
  • Night Senior Care Assistant (24 hours per week)
  • Night Senior Care Assistant (36 hours per week)

Both roles require alternate weekend availability.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and lead the care team during night shifts, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered.
  • Administer medication in line with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and document the health and well-being of residents.
  • Provide hands-on care, including assistance with daily activities as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents and their families, offering reassurance and support.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
About You:
  • Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally within an elderly care setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A compassionate and caring nature with a strong work ethic.
  • A commitment to upholding the dignity and independence of our residents.
