We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (Inclusion Support Worker) to join one of our supportive and dynamic teams at a school in Ilkley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with additional needs, helping them thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in the development of young people with additional needs.
  • Work closely with the SENCo to implement tailored intervention strategies for students.
  • Assist with the planning and organisation of learning resources to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Support students with their academic work, particularly in core subjects, ensuring that all students can access the curriculum.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with students, helping them feel valued and supported.
  • Foster an inclusive and motivating classroom environment where every child can succeed.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of interventions and small group work.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and caring approach to supporting students' individual learning and development.
  • Ability to build strong, positive, and long-lasting relationships with both students and staff.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCo.
  • An understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt support accordingly.
  • A DBS check will be required for this role.
