This role is ideal for a tutor who is passionate about both subjects and keen to support students who need extra help to achieve their potential. You will work with small groups and one-to-one, reinforcing key skills and boosting confidence in a supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Experience tutoring or teaching in a secondary school setting

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted tuition in Maths and English to small groups and individuals.
• Assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop engaging and interactive lesson materials.
• Offer structured exam preparation and revision sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers to align support with classroom learning.
• Track and record student progress for reporting and evaluation.
• Provide feedback to students and suggest practical ways to improve.
• Support students with literacy and numeracy difficulties.
• Implement strategies to boost reading comprehension and problem-solving skills.
• Support students in developing effective study habits.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
