About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our thriving secondary school in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of students through engaging and high-quality Maths teaching.

The School have a strong ethos, where their aim is to provide a well-rounded, progressive and outstanding education to all students. They have had Outstanding judgement from Ofsted.

Location: Leeds

Start Date: January 2025

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Maths.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam specifications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, deliver, and assess inspiring Maths lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
  2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and progress.
  3. Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to drive improvement.
  4. Support students in preparing for GCSE exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  6. Participating in extracurricular activities and events.
  7. Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  8. Uphold the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all students.
