Quality Manager (QEHS)

Ilminster, Somerset

£55,000- £60,000 + Benefits

Monday to Thursday (Core hours- 4 day working week)

 

Adept:us are excited to have partnered with a reputable mechanical manufacturing business that specialise in components that are supplied to a range of machinery producers. Based in Somerset, they are seeking a dynamic quality manager to join the team, on a full time, permanent basis and are offering a 4 day working week.

 

The role:

You will oversee the implementation of proper controls and documentation to maintain product quality. This includes managing the identification and analysis of non-conforming products, quality planning, documentation and storage, on-time delivery, training in inspection methods and techniques, visual conformance guides, inspection equipment, and product handling.

Reporting to: General Manager
Reports: Quality Engineers, Inspection, packing & despatch, EHS & Lab.

 

Experience/qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Quality and EHS management role is essential, ideally within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
  • Sound working knowledge of QMS (quality management systems)
  • Experience of effectively leading a multi disciplinary quality/EHS team.
  • Confident and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced numeracy and analytical skills are required, with the ability to interpret data analysis results for decision making.
