Salary:
* Standard Rate: £13.40 per hour
* Overtime Rate: £15.63 per hour
* Night Shift: £165 per shift
* Weekend Rates:
* Saturday: £15.63 per hour
* Sunday: £17.36 per hour
* Guaranteed 10 hours paid per shift
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team based in Hull. As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various destinations, ensuring all legal and company standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely drive and operate a Class 1 HGV to transport goods to designated locations.
* Adhere to all road safety regulations and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and well-maintained.
* Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain a log of inspections.
* Accurately complete all required documentation including delivery notes and digital tachograph records.
* Follow all company procedures, including delivery schedules and customer requirements.
* Ensure deliveries are completed on time, efficiently, and in a professional manner.
Requirements:
* A valid Class 1 HGV license.
* A valid digital tachograph card.
* A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).
* Previous HGV driving experience (preferred).
* A strong focus on safety and compliance.
* A good level of communication and customer service skills.
