Astute's EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the UK Power Industry to recruit a Scaffolding Coordinator on a 10 months contract basis for their Open Cycle Gas Turbine project based in Immingham.
The Scaffolding Coordinator role comes with an daily rate from 300.00 to 330.00.
Key skills and responsibilities:
- Scaffolding Planning & Design: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to design scaffolding layouts that meet safety, accessibility, and project requirements.
- Installation Supervision: Oversee the setup and installation of scaffolding systems, ensuring that they are built to the correct specifications and meet industry safety standards.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that scaffolding systems comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA guidelines), and carry out regular safety audits and inspections on scaffolding systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and Supervise scaffolding crews, ensuring they are adequately trained, follow safety protocols, and complete their tasks efficiently and to high standards.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain scaffolding work schedules, ensuring that scaffolding is available when needed and dismantled as required by project timelines.
- Risk Assessment & Problem Solving: Conduct risk assessments for scaffolding operations and address any issues related to structural integrity, safety, or delays.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality and condition of scaffolding systems throughout the project, ensuring that all installations are secure, stable, and in line with safety standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, maintenance, and certifications; provide detailed reports to management on scaffolding progress and compliance.
- Liaison with Other Teams: Work closely with site managers, safety officers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth coordination of scaffolding operations with other construction activities.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in scaffolding coordination or a related construction management role.
- Certification: Valid scaffolding qualification or certification (e.g., CISRS, OSHA, or equivalent) is required.
- Knowledge of Safety Standards: In-depth understanding of scaffolding safety regulations and construction site safety practices.
