(Import Coordinator) - Position Overview

Our client is a leading provider of National and International logistics services, responsible for all import cargo from the UK & Ireland to various countries across the globe

They are now looking to add an Import Operator to their incredible team with some individual focus within the department whilst ensuring you can work as part of a team to meet the company's objectives.

This role is based in the Import Department which is responsible for Import cargo arriving on the company's. vessels from Iceland, Faroe Islands and Norway, ensuring the physical delivery of cargo, customs formalities, and customer relations are handled in a timely and proficient manner.

(Import Coordinator) - Position Requirements

  • Building customer files using information from SAP/Dynamics
  • Creating Customs entries using Descartes/Destin8/CDS
  • SAP IT system for bookings/quotations
  • Contacting customers for delivery instructions/documentation
  • Arranging delivery of cargo through third party hauliers
  • Arranging collection of cargo from our terminal/warehouse
  • Passing supplier invoices
  • Obtaining rates from suppliers to create quotations.
  • Producing discharge lists for terminals
  • Vessel agency including Liaising with vessels/foreign offices/terminals, reporting to port authorities and submitting documentation for vessel arrivals/departures

(Import Coordinator) - Working hours

  • Monday - Friday (Apply online only) (one hour lunch)
  • Weekend working (one in five approximately) including a late finish on a Friday night and working Saturday & Sunday hours as necessary (min 4 hours per day). - This attracts an additional payment plus a half day working on a day during the week following the weekend worked
  • Tuesday (one in five approximately) (Apply online only) hours


(Liner Services Operator) - Position Remuneration

  • 24,000.00-28,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Company will contribute 8% to our current pension scheme
  • 20 days holiday increasing to 25 with length of service.
  • Bank holidays are additional to the companies usual holiday entitlement however need to be covered should there be a vessel call - Those working the Bank Holiday would be given a day in lieu.
