Quantity Surveyor - Civils

The role

In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of theCost & Project Managementbusiness requirements. These projects can range from extensions for small contractors, through to large civils projects, high value buildings to specialist energy contractors and more.

Other duties include:

• Managing costs on a wide variety of projects
• Offer strategic guidance to clients, including prioritising spending, outsourcing to subcontractors
• Prepare budgets and estimates and manage onsite costs
• Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Performing risk and value management and cost control
• Advise on procurement strategy

Requirements:

• Planning and time management skills
• Good understanding of civils and construction, ideally with pipeline experience
• Knowledge of NEC3 and 4
• Problem solver with construction knowledge
• IT skills - competent Microsoft packages included Excel and Project
• Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
