Job Overview:
My client are an established refurbsihment contractor operating throughout London and the Southeast. They are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Administrator to join my clientsteam in Ingatestone, Essex. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills, a strong attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Excel. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, providing support to the team, and ensuring smooth running of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages as required.
  • Managing office correspondence, including emails and post.
  • Organising and scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Maintaining office supplies and ordering stock when necessary.
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of office documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Handling filing systems and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and properly organized.
  • Managing and updating databases and spreadsheets
  • Assisting with invoicing, purchase orders, and managing office accounts.
  • Assisting HR with employee documentation and records.
  • Supporting the team with any administrative tasks as needed.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
  • Organizing and maintaining a tidy and efficient office environment.
  • Assisting with travel arrangements and event planning as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role.
  • Longevity with current/recent employer
  • Previous experience working within the construction industry (highly desireable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience usingMicrosoft Excel.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience with office management systems and procedures.
  • A proactive approach and a positive attitude towards new tasks.
