Job Overview:
My client are an established refurbsihment contractor operating throughout London and the Southeast. They are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Administrator to join my clientsteam in Ingatestone, Essex. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills, a strong attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Excel. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, providing support to the team, and ensuring smooth running of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages as required.
- Managing office correspondence, including emails and post.
- Organising and scheduling meetings and appointments.
- Maintaining office supplies and ordering stock when necessary.
- Assisting in the preparation and management of office documents, reports, and presentations.
- Handling filing systems and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and properly organized.
- Managing and updating databases and spreadsheets
- Assisting with invoicing, purchase orders, and managing office accounts.
- Assisting HR with employee documentation and records.
- Supporting the team with any administrative tasks as needed.
- Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
- Organizing and maintaining a tidy and efficient office environment.
- Assisting with travel arrangements and event planning as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role.
- Longevity with current/recent employer
- Previous experience working within the construction industry (highly desireable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience usingMicrosoft Excel.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Experience with office management systems and procedures.
- A proactive approach and a positive attitude towards new tasks.
