About the Role:

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping and driving departmental strategy within a dynamic and forward-thinking QHSE team?

We’re looking for an experienced Project Leader with a proven track record in QHSE and a strong background in the Nuclear and Defence sectors. In this role, you’ll drive utilisation and profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across high-profile projects.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of an established QHSE department through strategic leadership, client optimisation, and commercial direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the UK Head of Discipline to identify areas for improvement and maximise efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to accelerate departmental profitability.
  • Collaborate with QHSE professionals to identify opportunities for client optimisation across multiple projects.
  • Represent the department in client meetings, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Ensure strategies align with statutory requirements, industry best practices, and company policies.
  • Oversee compliance with contractual, legal, and process requirements, providing expert guidance to project teams.
  • Engage with QHSE project teams and supply chain partners to foster strong relationships and drive cultural improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate (essential)
  • Degree in a relevant discipline (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in highly regulated industry environment
  • Experience working within project delivery teams
  • Proven ability to manage confidential and commercial information
  • Experience preparing and presenting management reports and insights
  • SC clearance is preferrable for this role and the successful candidate must be willing to obtain DV clearance
