About the Role

This role forms a key part of our day-to-day sales operation and you will be working closely with the Director on a daily basis to deliver the level of service and attention to detail that the company has been built on and customers have come to expect.

The position is the first point of contact, handling our customers’ enquiries, telephone and email sales orders and processing these through our computerised systems to the point where they become the responsibility of the warehouse team or delivering company ensuring first class customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that sales orders are processed swiftly, efficiently and accurately via email, or telephone.
  • Ensuring that the necessary stock is available from our stock holding or has been ordered from suppliers.
  • Handling and price sales enquires and following them through to closure along with recognising further sales opportunities.
  • Learning and retaining technical and sales information on key products and product lines.
  • Booking deliveries with couriers, carriers, hauliers and manufacturers
  • Planning deliveries and routing on our own fleet of vehicles to meet with customer requirements, vehicle payloads and site booking in.
  • Ensuring order documentation and labels are printed and supplied as necessary.
  • Calculations involving volume, area, and linear metres to ascertain customers exact delivery requirements
  • Managing and using information held on their CRM package

The Ideal Candidate

You’re a proactive and organized individual with a passion for providing excellent service. With a knack for multitasking and attention to detail, you’re eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • GCSE qualified minimum including Maths and English
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Familiarity with computerised sales order and stock control software, such as Quickbooks or Sage
  • Familiarity with CRM software, experience of ACT would be advantageous
  • An understanding of the importance of and how to deliver exceptional customer service
  • A helpful and friendly attitude with a willingness to be flexible in your approach.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Ideally, you’ll live within a 15-mile radius of Binfield/Wokingham and have your own transport, as our location isn’t accessible via public transport.
