As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in promoting excellent childcare practices in accordance with Randstad Care Policies and Procedures and National Care Standards . Your primary responsibility will be providing care, support, and supervision to our young residents, nurturing their growth and success within a caring environment.

A successful child support worker will responsible for:
- Proficiency in clear and legible writing for effective report and documentation comprehension.
- Willingness to engage in recreational activities with young residents and foster their interests in new hobbies.
- Dedication to completing the Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People in Residential Care within two years of joining.
- Eagerness for personal development and a hunger for learning.
- Basic IT skills.
- Strong ability to engage positively with young individuals.
- Empathy toward young people who have faced emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with diverse individuals, including Social Workers, parents, and external professionals
To be successful in your child support worker application, you will:
- Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people in the UK
- Have knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory and child protection policy
- Be able to demonstrate how your lived experiences have informed your approach to care
- Have experience advocating on behalf of a young person
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving licence
- Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
