Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Fabricator/ Welder to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in South Aberdeen.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday (40 hours)
Salary: £38K – £42K with 1.5x overtime
Daily Duties –
- Carry out TIG, ARC, and MIG welding and fabrication repairs on stainless steel equipment
- Maintenance and repairs including metal forming/bending, drilling and tapping, cutting and grinding
- Create fabrication drawings, including solutions or improvements to equipment
- Ensure all repairs and improvement projects are completed and reported to Supervisor
- Assist with routine PPM when assigned and take part in reactive work as part of the wider engineering team (training will be provided)
- Keep steel stores / consumables stocked and replenished
Candidate Requirements –
- Time-served with experience carrying out TIG, MIG or ARC welding techniques
- Experience carrying out welding/fabrication repairing to stainless steel equipment
- Ideally from a FMCG, agricultural or food production environment
