Job Title: MSK PhysiotherapistBand 6/7Location:ScotlandJob Summary:IMC are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior MSK Physiotherapist to join our dynamic physiotherapy team for a private clinic in Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality MSK assessments and treatments, managing a diverse caseload, and contributing to clinical service improvements. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will also provide mentorship to junior staff and support the growth and development of the MSK service within the clinic.Key Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnostics to identify MSK conditions and determine the best course of treatment.Create and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, focusing on manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques.Treat a variety of MSK conditions, including sports injuries, back and neck pain, joint issues, and post-surgical cases.Evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment approaches as necessary, and ensure optimal clinical outcomes.Maintain accurate patient documentation in line with clinic standards and regulatory guidelines.Mentorship and Team SupportProvide clinical supervision, support, and mentorship to junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students.Conduct case discussions, training sessions, and workshops to support team development and knowledge-sharing.Act as a role model for clinical best practices, maintaining high professional and ethical standards.Patient and Client EducationEducate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and prevent re-injury.Provide clear guidance on home exercise programs and long-term rehabilitation strategies.Service Development and Quality ImprovementActively contribute to the development and enhancement of the MSK physiotherapy services, helping to establish and implement best practices within the clinic.Participate in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery and patient outcomes.Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the MSK department to enhance the clinic's reputation and patient satisfaction.Communication and Multidisciplinary CollaborationCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and referring healthcare providers to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to care.Work closely with other physiotherapists, sports therapists, and healthcare professionals within the clinic to deliver holistic and comprehensive patient care.Foster positive relationships with clients to build trust, satisfaction, and loyalty to the clinic.Essential Criteria:Qualifications: Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) with full HCPC registration in the UK.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience (for Band 6) or 5+ years (for Band 7) in an MSK setting, preferably including private practice or sports injury management.Skills: Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, manual therapy expertise, and experience with MSK rehabilitation techniques.
