The Role

The role of Financial Reporting Advisory Senior is an excellent opportunity for a newly or soon to be Qualified Accountant looking to develop their career in a supportive but challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Practice, in an Accounts or Audit capacity.

On Offer

The position of Financial Reporting Advisory Senior has arisen based in Edinburgh and offers a competitive salary plus flexible working.

Day to day you will be responsible for;

  • Preparing statutory financial statements for clients, including consolidated financial statements , in accordance with both UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Working with other teams on the delivery of statutory financial statements and advisory work
  • Playing a key role in accounting advisory projects on the application and interpretation of accounting standards
  • Managing your schedule to ensure deadlines and budgets are met and work is completed to a high standard
  • Delegating work to Assistants and offering support as required
  • Coaching and developing Assistants, offering feedback as necessary
  • Liaising with clients and building effective relationships

To be considered for the role you will ideally have;

  • An inquisitive and curious mind
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skill
  • A desire to achieve high levels of client service
  • An interest in Financial Reporting and developments within financial reporting
  • A motivation to develop your own technical knowledge
  • An Accountancy qualification, ICAS/ACCA or equivalent. Finalists will be considered.
