We have a great new role for a Property Loss Adjuster to cover a territory in Scotland from a home-base (2/3 days at home per week with visits on other days). You will be responsible for investigating and managing a diverse portfolio of property claims (commercial and domestic) and will work closely with policyholders, insurers, and other stakeholders to assess losses, determine liability, and facilitate fair and timely settlements. This role requires a high level of autonomy, strong analytical and reporting skills and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to inspect damage, gather evidence, and evaluate the extent of the loss
  • Liaise with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and other parties to facilitate the claims process

  • Proven 2/3 years experience as a Property Loss Adjuster ideal (otherwise we would consider a candidate from Insurance with technical and complex property claims experience)
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles, policy coverage, and claims processes
  • Relevant professional qualifications (Dip CILA/CII) or keen to undertake sponsored study
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in report writing and claims management systems
  • Willingness to travel within Scotland, with a full UK driving license

Benefits:

  • Enhanced contributory pension
  • Performance related bonus scheme
  • Car Allowance
  • Flexible benefits scheme
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Share purchase scheme with interest free loans
