Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dundee, Scotland

Our client is a dynamic Consultancy dedicated to delivering exceptional services in the construction and infrastructure sectors. The team is committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in every project they undertake.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
  • Oversee contract administration, including tendering, procurement, and negotiation.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures and variations.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial advice to project teams and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and other team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional membership with RICS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
