Meraki Talent are supporting with the permanent appointment of an Accountant/Finance Business Partner based in Fife paying up to £55,000 plus bonus & strong benefits.

The Role

This redeveloped role is perfectly balanced between hands on accounting, and true business partnering providing fantastic diversification & exposure. The key components of the role will include:

Finance Business Partnering

  • Involvement in high profile & value projects
  • Business partnering with senior & non-financial stakeholders
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
  • Financial analysis - KPI’s, costs, variance analysis, etc.

Accounting

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts
  • Ensuring robust month and year-end close & annual audit preparation
  • Ownership of capital expenditure projects
  • Balance sheet integrity & reconciliations
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

Candidate Profile

It’s imperative the successful individual has excellent communication and stakeholder managements skills so they can interact, engage and influence with both senior & non-financial stakeholders.

The preference is strongly for a qualified Accountant, although they are willing to consider individuals only a few exams away and demonstrate utter commitment to becoming a qualified Accountant.

The employer is willing to consider individuals from one of the following backgrounds:

  1. An individual that trained & qualified within an Accountancy Firm/Practice and seeking their first inhouse move into industry

Or

  1. An individual that came up through the ranks of inhouse industry finance.
