We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (Remote based)to work for a major plant machinary compnay inInverness

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards.

This role requires proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance tasks on the clients range of machinery used in construction, agriculture, or industrial settings.

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting:

Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary.

Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately.

Analyse symptoms reported by operators and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues.

Repair and Maintenance:

Conducting maintenance and repairs at customer sites on various models of their construction machinery to uphold operational efficiency and reliability.

Identify and replace faulty parts and components, ensuring compatibility and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.

Documentation and Reporting:

Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time.

Generate digital reports outlining equipment condition, repair history, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.

Reporting any warranty issues promptly.
