Technical Engineer

Corrie Recruitment is looking for a Technical Engineer for a permanent position in Inverness for a large, established Civil Engineering Contractor.

The role will involve providing centralised technical support to the Site teams and the duties will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Studying both tender and construction drawings to identify technical queries.
• Preparing and maintaining the RFI schedule across multiple contracts.
• Preparing material orders for non standard elements of the projects
• Looking for and implementing innovative construction methodologies.
• Preparing task specific method statements for the projects.
• Regular Site Visits to sites in and around Inverness and the Highlands.
• Liaising with Site Supervisors, Contract Manager, Technical Manager, HSEQ Manager, Buyer, and The Clients representative.

The ideal candidate will have:

• HND in Civil Engineering, SMSTS, or a related field.
• Proven experience in general Civil Engineering projects.
• Previous experience in Lifting operations and temporary works (not essential and training will be given to the successful candidate if required).
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Good planning and organisational skills.

There is no Setting out or Site Management involvement within the role.
