Our client, a well-established and successful business turning over in excess of 100m+ with operations across diverse industries, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their Power & Renewablesdivision. This division has recently seen a multimillion-pound investment, reflecting the company's commitment to growth and innovation in renewable energy. The position is full-time and permanent, supporting a variety of installation and maintenance projects throughout Inverness and the North.

Employed in a field-based position covering Inverness and the North where you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of renewable energy and power systems that can include solar smart panels, hybrid generators and battery storage units etc.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify issues and implement effective solutions
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice on equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and technologies
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job

Essential requirements:

  • A solid understanding of mechanics and electrical systems specific to the operations of generators and associated systems
  • Served recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship
  • Experience gained in the Renewables and/or Power industry
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care combined with excellent communication skills
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Willing to contribute to working overtime
