As the Second Chef you will work alongside and deputise for the head chef and prepare and cook the all fresh company menu.
Role - Second Chef
As Second Chef you will:
- Lead the daily operation of the kitchen in a hands-on capacity
- Prepare and cook the company core menu.
- Monitor stock levels and manage stock orders.
- Train and develop the team.
- Carry out weekly stock count to ensure GP targets are achieved.
- Manage the cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
- Plan rotas and holidays to meet service level requirements
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve the highest and standards, service and sales.
Attributes - Second Chef
We are looking for:
- An experienced Second Chef with the ability to manage a team and significant peaks in service.
- Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for customer service.
- Hands-on and passionate about food preparation and cooking.
- Knowledgeable in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.
- Able to support the head chef in controlling the GP, labour and stock.
- Passion for delivering the highest quality food and service.
