Maintenance Electrician

42.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8am - 4:30pm.

SRG are working with a leading FMCG Manufacturing organisation who are looking for an electrician to join the team in Inverness.

The successful electrician will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of all plant equipment to ensure the required levels of production are achieved, in accordance with GMP.

Provide call out cover for out of hours breakdowns on a rota-based system. Due to the on call requirement, candidates must be able to get to the site within 1 hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Contribute to 6S efficiency and continuous improvement activities.
  • Complete maintenance paperwork
  • Recommend improvements to the operation of equipment.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant.
  • Keep up to date with new techniques, processes, and equipment, and training.
  • Maintain high levels of engineering hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Report of all hazards, near misses, incidents, and accidents
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical and mechanical engineering regulations.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship / electrical qualification (18th edition)
  • ATEX Regulations, Ratings and Zoning of areas
  • Electrical testing
  • Electrical fault-finding
  • Electrical installation and inspection
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of material handling systems, bucket elevators, belt conveyors, screws, diverters, etc.
  • Forklift truck MEWP licence or prepare to train
