Your new companyHays are delighted to be working in partnership with a locally established and recognised organisation based in Inverness to support in the immediate requirement for a Finance Business Partner to join the finance team on an interim basis. Due to an increased demand on the existing finance operations, the requirement for a qualified finance professional who can confidently take a holistic view on financial reporting has become available.Your new roleIn your new role, you will take a proactive position in reporting directly to the Head of Finance by leading on the preparation and planning of budgets and forecasts, providing an analytical view on monthly reporting as well as supporting with costings for different business units. This role requires a significant level of business partnering and confidently presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders to support in decision making and future business planning. Working as part of the wider finance team, you may be involved in daily tasks such as ledger management and review.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed, you will be a part qualified or qualified accountant with previous experience in finance business partnering; having ideally worked previously in the public or third sector. This role will suit someone who is confidently able to make informed judgements regarding forecasting and budgeting, whilst providing an accurate overview for both internal and external stakeholders. You will be someone who is interested in understanding the why behind numbers, taking an analytical approach to reporting and working closely with the Head of Finance to address queries. This role does have a quick turnaround, so immediate or short notice availability would be preferred.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £28 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) and the opportunity to positively support a well known organisation within Inverness.
