Avanti Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading organisation in the North of Scotland, that is seeking a skilled .NET Software Developer to join their Inverness-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on internal business applications, including finance, payroll, and e-learning solutions, with the potential for future mobile application development using .NET MAUI.
This is an on-site position.
The role involves working with .NET Core 8 and SQL databases, with some legacy systems on .NET 4.8. While primarily focused on back-end development, there will be some front-end work using JavaScript and jQuery. You will develop and maintain APIs linking key business applications and collaborate closely with a team of developers and business analysts based in Inverness. The team follows an Agile methodology with monthly releases using Azure DevOps.
Ideally, candidates should have experience with .NET Core, C#, SQL, and Azure technologies, with any .NET MAUI knowledge being a bonus. Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to mentor team members will make a candidate stand out. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
The position offers a salary of £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, along with a discretionary annual bonus, 33 days of holiday (including bank), a 5% employer pension contribution, BUPA healthcare (optional), life insurance (3x salary), and a cycle-to-work scheme.
