HSE Manager/ Advisor:
We are currently recruiting for a HSE Manager/ Advisor for a large SSEN transmission project based in inverness to start ASAP for a 6 month contract minimum.
Main roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning and Innovation: Develop and Implement environmental and sustainability strategies.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Lead and manage all aspects of EIAs, including scoping, baseline surveys, impact prediction, mitigation measures, and report preparation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS): Develop, implement, and maintain EMSs in accordance with ISO 14001 or similar standards, ensuring consistent and effective environmental performance.
- Permitting & Compliance: Secure necessary environmental permits and licenses, ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant UK legislation (e.g., Environmental Permitting Regulations, Habitats Regulations, Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations), and manage potential non-compliance incidents.
What we need:
- CSCS card
- BREEAM assessor qualification.
- Knowledge of the environmental legislations and energy market
- Driving license.
- Chartered membership of a body e.g CIEEM.
- 2 professional references
