2nd Line Support - Inverness - To £30,000 + bonus

Lorien's client, a leading telecoms company, is searching for their new 2nd Line Support Technician to come onboard and work in their Support team, looking after the full business function supporting their internal team of circa 80 heads. The company has doubled in size since last year and our client are looking to continue this positive growth by bringing their entire IT function in house and growing their internal team.

If you have a strong background as an IT Technician, as well as knowledge of computer systems, hardware/software and networking, then this is the ideal opportunity for you!

About the role:

In this position you will be providing day-to-day technical support across the entire business from C Level down, ensuring smooth operation of their IT systems and platforms. The business operates through a fully Microsoft Cloud based O365 estate, with many 365 functions including inTune and Azure for different systems. The position includes assisting these O365 customers on IT queries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up and maintaining IT equipment, and performing maintenance and upgrades accordingly.

The successful candidate will look to monitor system performance, maintain accurate logs, provide employee mentoring, and support network and security measures where appropriate.

About you:

  • Strong background as an IT Technician or similar IT support role
  • History supporting computer systems, hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  • Proficient with full O365 suite (with inTune)
  • Track record of 365 administration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

It would be highly beneficial to have knowledge of:

  • Azure Fundamentals
  • Understanding of basic TCP/IP protocols
  • ITIL and or CompTIA
  • ENTRA
  • API/coding experience

Package:

The position is paying up to £30,000 per annum, and a benefits package that includes a bonus of up to 10%.
