Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter will work day shift and will be responsible for providing maintenance and mechanical support throughout the site. Ensuring reliability of equipment, maintenance of assets in a safe condition as well as developing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance/mechanical support
- Carry out all PMs to ensure reliability of equipment
- Report any area of concern to supervisor
- Ensure complete shift report left in logbook, detailing any issues
- Review maintenance and operational logbooks at the beginning of every shift
- Identify and MIP initiatives to supervisor
- All stores withdrawals must be booked out
- Daily check workload at start of shift and complete as required, signing off all completed jobs
- Complete all tasks in an efficientand effective manner
- Assist through performance the achievement of area goals
- Liaison with other departments to ensure safe and efficient running of the plant
- Identifying and implementing improvements
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone with a minimum of City & Guilds/ONC Level of education in a mechanical discipline who has completed a four-year apprenticeship and relevant previous experience.
