Private Client Associate Solicitor Opportunity – Inverness

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Associate Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to join a prestigious legal team in Inverness. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, providing expert advice on a range of private client matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estate Planning: Advise clients on wills, trusts and inheritance tax planning
  • Probate and Estate Administration: Manage the administration of estates, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Trusts: Establish and manage trusts, providing ongoing advice to trustees
  • Powers of Attorney: Prepare and advise on powers of attorney and guardianship orders
  • Wealth Management: Collaborate with financial advisors to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions

What You'll Do:

  • Manage your own caseload of private client matters
  • Deliver high-quality client care and build strong client relationships
  • Handle both straightforward and complex cases with a high degree of autonomy
  • Work with clients in person and remotely, ensuring their needs are met efficiently
  • Participate in business development activities to grow the private client practice
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: At least four years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law
  • Skills: Strong track record of advising clients on a range of private client matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Confidence in making well-considered decisions
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word) and familiarity with case management systems
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risks effectively

Experience:

  • Drafting wills and trusts
  • Estate administration
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Powers of attorney and guardianship orders
  • Trust management
