Our client, a prominent firm of chartered surveyors with a long-standing history in the property sector, operating throughout Scotland, providing a comprehensive range of property services. With a significant presence in Inverness and the Highlands, they are looking to grow their Commercial Valuation team.

Role Overview:
I am seeking to speak to highly motivated and experienced Senior or Associate Commercial Valuation Surveyors to join their team in Inverness. This role presents an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a respected firm. You will play a key role in delivering commercial property valuations and contributing to the expansion of our services across North Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Reporting:Report directly to the Head of the North Commercial Team, with ultimate accountability to the firm's Management Committee.
  • Valuation Services:Handle commercial property valuation instructions and other professional work, primarily in Inverness, Moray, and the Highlands, with occasional assignments elsewhere in the North and West of Scotland.
  • Budget Delivery:Achieve an agreed budget with support from the North Commercial team based in Aberdeen.
  • Service Growth:Expand, maintain, and enhance our commercial valuation services across North Scotland as part of a wider team of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Business Development:Support the growth and development of the broader range of commercial property services offered by the North Group in Inverness, Moray, and the Highlands, with collaboration from the Aberdeen-based team.
  • Conduct valuations for various commercial properties, including retail, office, industrial, and development sites.
  • Prepare detailed valuation reports for purposes such as secured lending, acquisition, disposal, and portfolio management.
  • Manage and cultivate client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Provide expert advice on market trends, property values, and investment opportunities.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MRICS qualified with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial property valuation.
  • Strong knowledge of the Inverness and Highlands commercial property market.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality valuation reports.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.
