Key Responsibilities:
Lead the cost management process for civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
Prepare, analyse, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
Conduct detailed measurements, valuations, and contract administration.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
Oversee procurement, including subcontractor selection and tender evaluations.
Manage and negotiate contractual variations and claims.
Provide accurate financial reporting and advise on financial risks/opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role within civil engineering.
Strong knowledge of the industry's most commonly used conditions of contract.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is advantageous but not essential.
