Were looking for an Electrical Engineer with several years of proven, hands-on experience, ideally within a food or automated production environment. You should be a confident communicator, capable of working independently and managing tasks across different areas of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the electrical specialist within the Engineering team, mentoring and providing on-the-job training to colleagues.
- Ensure maximum operating efficiency by keeping all electrical plant equipment in top working condition.
- Reduce downtime by conducting regular Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks to keep machinery running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults across all installations.
- Perform both preventative and general maintenance tasks.
- Apply continuous improvement techniques to enhance plant operations, focusing on quality, cost, and safety improvements.
- Complete daily maintenance logs and job cards efficiently.
- Conduct inventory checks to ensure spare parts and materials are always stocked.
- Be willing to learn our production machinery operations through comprehensive on-the-job training.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Time-served Engineer with a minimum of City & Guilds qualifications.
- 18th Edition IE Regulations preferred (or equivalent).
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to stay focused and efficient, even under pressure.
Salary & Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience), with a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.
Flexibility for occasional weekend work may be required. Our benefits package includes profit-related pay and private health cover.
