Pure are exclusively recruiting an Accountant for a our Ipswich based client. This is a varied and busy position that would suit a part qualified, or qualified be experience finance professional.

Our client is a multinational market leader in their field, with offices in Ipswich, London and internationally. The Ipswich location is set up as a central services function and has the accounts team set up in the Ipswich town centre office.


Principal Functions:

  • Plan, control and co-ordinate the overall accounts work.
  • Monitor and effectively manage the credit control operations
  • Review trial balance every month and ensure its correctness
  • Review withleadership team the accounts work plan for all accounting activities
  • Finalise and close accounts of the branch at quarter-end and year-end
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with other departments and Accounts team of London and Head Office
  • Co-ordinate, supervise and be the referral point for internal and external audits
  • Monitor all financial reports from the general and subsidiary ledgers, assist in reconciliation and production of management reports
  • Participate on behalf of Accounts in the development and testing of new systems
  • Assist with compliance matters on behalf of Accounts

Key competencies/skills, experience and qualifications
  • Knowledge of UK and International accounting practice
  • Part qualified or qualified by relevant experience
  • Ideally knowledge of reporting in a regulated environment
  • Comfortable with using accounting software and learning new software if necessary
  • Advanced competence in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
