About the role:

They are seeking a proactive Accountant to join their team. You will be responsible for managing and recording financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting reconciliations, overseeing accounts, and supporting the finance team with various tasks and projects, all aimed at maintaining their high standards in financial management.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and regulations, including VAT requirements.
  • Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies with precision.
  • Confirm and reconcile intercompany balances accurately.
  • Oversee both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt invoice management.
  • Uphold company financial procedures, with an emphasis on VAT requirements.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end accounts, including journal entries and meticulous account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual accounts, audits, and tax filings.
  • Organise and maintain precise financial records for easy accessibility and compliance.
  • Manage and pursue overdue accounts, ensuring timely debt collection and resolution of payment disputes
  • Provide support to the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as require

About you:
