Are you looking to continue your professional training in a privately owned – not PE backed – business?

Does the idea of working in an accountancy firm that truly values it’s people, not just the bottom line, a firm who has grown by its own merit and can offer long term development, appeal to you?

If this makes you question if your current situation is the best fit for you, then you need to contact Natalie Harden at Reed in regard to a fantastic opening for an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior post in a national firm with a local presence.

This is truly an amazing opportunity for a Trainee or Semi Senior to join a practice that has clear – and realistic – objectives to become one of the top firms in the country.

Working from their regional office in Colchester, the Semi Senior post will have you involved in the following tasks, which will catapult your career in the world of finance, whether your long term plan is in industry or practice –

  • Partnering with clients on projects; businesses from a wide range of sectors and sizes.
  • Preparing financial statements and accounts for said clients.
  • Creating management accounts preparation bespoke to each client.
  • Adding invaluable support to preparing and planning the audit packs.
  • Complete VAT returns and review for guaranteed accuracy.
  • Taking ownership of initial client queries, referring to senior team members for more advanced questions.

For an outstanding job, we seek applicants of the same calibre; experience of working in an accountancy practice ideally with some audit, even brief.

You will need to have either gained the AAT qualification or starting ACCA.

Due to the nature of the job  and the variety involved in all areas you will need to be highly organised, possess an incredible eye for detail, confident in your approach to tasks and clients, comfortable in achieving objectives as part of a team or independently and conduct yourself with the upmost integrity and professionalism.

Apply now if you possess the required background but for a more immediate - and confidential - response, contact Natalie Harden at Reed for an initial conversation.
