MacKenzie King are recruiting a Temporary Financial Accountant for a large local business, based in Ipswich. As a Temporary Financial Accountant you will be a part of a team responsible for financial compliance, financial risk management and financial controls across the group. This role is well suited to a detail-oriented individual that can work off their own initiative and support the wider team with excess workload.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly bad debt provision
  • Review monthly debtors & creditors reporting in line with deadlines
  • VAT returns
  • Assist in the production of statutory accounts
  • Preparation for year-end audit
  • Contribute to finance projects
  • Tax compliance and associated reporting
  • Finalise month end reporting
  • Corporation tax payments and review analysis working papers
  • Work with the team to ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial records
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Qualified Accountant is preferred but Qualified by Experience will be considered
  • Experience working in a group of companies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Experience with Tax, including VAT returns
