A well-established, people-focused non-profit organisation based in Ipswich who are committed to supporting their customers, employees, and communities with fairness, respect, and ambition are looking for an ambitious Financial Accountant to support the Head of Finance in leading the finance function.
This role would someone looking to make their first move from practice or someone with experience within the non for profit/charity sector.
The position is paying between £45,000 to £50,000, 2/3 days in the office, bonus, blue discount card, 22 days holiday + BH, plus lots more.
What you will do:
- Provide support to the Head of Finance, taking on additional tasks as required.
- Build and maintain key external relationships with partners, supporting charity objectives.
- Assist the Management Accounts team as needed.
- Support the Assistant Accountant with leasehold property portfolio management, liaising with landlords, housing management, and solicitors to ensure accurate lease payments and compliance with contracts.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to assess growth opportunities, model financial performance, and support tenders and financial submissions.
- Manage finance-related projects alongside senior finance staff.
- Assist with budget production for schemes and balance sheet data
- Collaborate across the finance department to ensure efficiency.
- Work with the Development team to maintain work-in-progress schedules, monitor contract values, and manage income and expenditure accruals and deferrals.

We are looking for someone who has/is:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
