Management AccountantIpswich (hybrid)£40,000 - £50,000

Reed Finance Suffolk are delighted to be working with a fast-growing company in Ipswich in the recruitment of a Management Accountant. This role is essential for analysing financial information and implementing strategies to enhance business performance. You will support managerial planning and commercial decision-making by providing accurate financial information and managing related accounts administration.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Produce and analyse financial reports including P&L accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries to assist in business profitability and growth.
  • Provide accurate management reporting to assist with key decision making.
  • Handle month-end and year-end journal preparations.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Manage reports on capital expenditure and maintain associated controls.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including taxation.
  • Review and improve accounting processes and practices to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Engage in project accounting and reporting.
  • Manage cash flow reporting and produce forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts.
  • Assess monthly expenses and ensure recovery of costs as appropriate.
  • Produce relevant commercial analysis, such as margins and pricing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Excel skills and IT literacy.
  • Experience in foreign currency transactions and invoice authorisations/control.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Word.
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification (desirable).
  • Proven record of account management and ability to self-manage.
  • Experience in a similar role and line management of staff (desirable).
