Business Advisor is required by a leading accountancy firm offering progressive career paths and training, as well as flexible working with one core day in the Ipswich office.

It's at the heart of everything they do. You will be AAT qualified or part-qualified (Study support is available) and be able to manage your own portfolio and projects.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in managing a portfolio of clients, including partnerships and sole traders
  • Proficiency in personal tax preparation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting packages including Xero, IRIS GP accounts, and Sage is desirable

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan the delivery of work on your portfolio, prepare high-quality files for manager review
  • Proactively seek support from peers and managers for complex issues
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries before submitting accounts for manager review
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for your allocated portfolio
  • Manage junior team members' work, providing briefings and performance monitoring
  • Work as part of a team to provide ad-hoc accounting assistance and ensure excellent client service
  • Complete client-take-on procedures for new clients, including preparing engagement letters for manager and partner review
  • Attend year-end client meetings with the Partner/Manager to develop client relationships

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant or equivalent experience
  • Solid accountancy experience required
  • Experience in working collaboratively in a team to deliver projects
