Our client is an award winning, Independent Financial Planners based in Ipswich who are proud to help the people of Suffolk reach their financial objectives. Due to exciting growth, they are actively seeking an Accounts Assistant to join them (part-time / 15 hours per week) at their offices in Claydon.

Accounts Assistant

Up to £31k DOE (pro rata) | Ipswich | 15 hours per week across Mon-Fri 9-5 | Hybrid/flexible working (post 2 months induction) | Free parking / study support offered | Friendly, pleasant team

This is a new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to bring their expertise to this growing business. You will be responsible for a variety of accounts duties, whilst also providing monthly finance reports, working closely with an outsourced accountancy practice who produce year end accounts. This is an all-encompassing role requiring experience and offering flexibility.

Duties (to include but are not limited too):

  • Accurately creating and sending invoices to clients
  • Running debtor reports and proactively chasing outstanding invoices (credit control)
  • Completing payment runs to suppliers on approval from management
  • Calculating fee payments from external companies
  • Carrying out monthly payroll
  • General bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and month end support
  • Producing management accounts (or similar data / information) for Directors

Person Specification:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position essential
  • Experience providing monthly management accounts reports preferred but not essential
  • Xero (or similar) experience preferred
  • Confident, personable team-player
  • Excellent organisational and accuracy skills essential
