NXTGEN are working with a leading organisation to recruit a Bookkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper to take ownership of key financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth day-to-day operations. The successful Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting payroll and VAT reporting.

The role requires strong technical knowledge and proficiency in Sage 50

Key Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile sales and purchase ledger transactions across multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD).Manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed and payments made on time.Oversee payroll for up to 20 employees, including handling timesheets, contracts, and pensions.Review and reconcile HMRC postponed VAT statements.Assist in preparing month-end reports and liaise with external accountants for year-end adjustments.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.Provide administrative support within the finance function as needed.

About You:

Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.Strong knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary offered is dependant on experience
