We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Business Support Officer to join our dynamic and values driven Educational Psychology Service (EPS). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills in administration and business support, whilst contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for children, families, and schools.

Job Purpose:

As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Educational Psychology Service. You will work closely with our team of professionals, supporting them in delivering essential psychological assessments, advice and interventions. You will be part of a service that seeks positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

What you will be doing

  • Provide essential administrative assistance to the educational psychology team, including case allocations, proof-reading, managing appointments, preparing documents, handling queries, monitoring timelines, and maintaining records.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, educational psychologists, parents, teachers and other professionals, responding to general enquiries and supporting the scheduling of assessments and meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Input and maintain client records and service data, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of reports, documents, and presentations for the team and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested to support the service and management team.
  • Help coordinate resources, including gathering professionals’ capacity for the service and collating practice materials.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience as an administrator, coordinator, or similar position Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills and competent in using Microsoft Office suite Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to identify issues and generate possible solutions
  • Familiarity with data entry, database management, and document management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Adaptable, patient, and able to work at pace when needed.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and build effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external clients, candidates and other stakeholders.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately and sensitively
  • Enhanced DBS check
