As a BMS (Building Management Systems) Estimator, you will play a critical role in the tendering process, ensuring that competitive and accurate estimates are submitted. You will review tender documentation, prepare detailed bills of materials, and liaise closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure bids meet client requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Evaluation: Review tender information to assess the suitability of the project and identify potential opportunities.
  • Supplier Quotations: Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in pricing.
  • Bill of Materials Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate bills of materials, breaking down required components such as materials, labour, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Tender Submission: Prepare and submit tenders, ensuring they include a full set of qualifications and meet all client requirements.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain clear lines of communication with clients, submitting queries and ensuring compliance with tender specifications.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits when necessary to gather project-specific information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project management and technical teams to gather insights and information needed to prepare competitive bids.
  • Project Handover: Provide a detailed handover to the project team, ensuring a clear understanding of the scope and pricing of works.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in BMS estimating is preferred, but experience in electrical or mechanical estimating is also beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail with methodical working practices.
  • Ability to work confidently in a high-paced environment.


Excellent communication skills for both client interaction and internal collaboration.
Familiarity with BMS systems and industry-specific software/tools is an advantage.
