A leading manufacturing company in Ipswich is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the design, development, and testing of special-purpose machinery, using SolidWorks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design machinery from concept to completion using SolidWorks
- Create and manage Bill of Materials
- Design parts, components, and sheet metal
- Collaborate with other departments to improve existing machinery
- Assist with testing and fitting of prototypes
Key Requirements:
- SolidWorks proficiency
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
