About the role:
As an Auto CAD Technician, you will assist their Head Design Engineer in designing highly efficient agricultural machinery and trailers. Your responsibilities will involve collaboration across departments, ensuring that their products not only meet their standards but also exceed customer expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to product development and quality assurance in a dynamic fabrication and manufacturing environment. You will be required to work Mondays – Thursdays from 8:30am to 5pm with a half an hour lunch break at 1pm and Fridays from 8.30am to 3pm with a half an hour lunch break.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Utilise AutoCAD Inventor to support the Head Design Engineer in designing agricultural machinery and trailers that meet regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers and the purchasing department to ensure proper component supply and specifications.
- Keep technical drawings updated and communicate any changes to the production team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain and update technical records as required and assist the production team by addressing queries and providing necessary drawings.
- Engage with customers to address technical inquiries and assist with warranty claim processing.
- Conduct site visits to support the initial setup of complex machinery for clients.
- Work closely with Production and Quality Control teams to ensure all machinery is built to the highest standards, achieving 'right first time' quality.
- Adhere to all health and safety practises and report any risks to the manufacturing supervisor promptly.
About you:
You should possess proficiency in 3D CAD software, along with previous work experience in an engineering environment. It would be an advantage if you have experience of using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault, but not essential as we can provide in house training. The ability to work effectively both in a team and independently is essential. You will also be proactive in identifying improvements in product design, safety, and durability, contributing to the continuous development of their products.
