Accounts Administrator (part-time)

£25k Basic Salary (pro-rata) | 15-20 hours per week across Mon-Fri (to be agreed but must include Fridays) | West Ipswich | Accountancy Practice | Accurate / Courteous /Customer Friendly

The purpose of this role is to provide general administrative support to the team, also carrying out receptionist duties in a friendly, welcoming manner.

Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Answering calls, dealing with client queries and forwarding onto relevant team member
  • Updating company files and systems with client information
  • Responding to company emails proactively
  • To communicate in a courteous, professional, and reassuring manner with clients, suppliers and members of the public
  • Sending out / posting letters, also managing incoming post
  • Ordering stationary and equipment for the office
  • Onboarding new clients
  • Responding to new client enquiries and arranging a meeting
  • Filing and scanning
  • There may also be the opportunity to do some bookkeeping or managing the company social media page (for the right individual)

Person Specification:

  • 3 years administrative experience or more essential
  • Knowledge of accounting would be advantageous
  • The ability to work accurately and achieve deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a team player and build rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn and embrace new systems and new technologies
  • Initiative and good problem-solving skills
  • Driving licence preferred due to location (dedicated car parking space available)
